Inmates are human too. What makes you human? Do you enjoy humor, sports, poetry, science, etc? Go ahead, write about that. Ask the inmate what their interests are as well.
Once a letter is received, one of our staff members reviews it to ensure all necessary guidelines are met and that it doesn't include any personally identifying information.
Some inmates haven't received a letter for years. Letters from someone who cares means the world to them. If you and they both like, you can even receive letters back. Inmate letters follow the same process that yours did.
